Charles Barkley Debuts His New Swing At The American Century Championship.

Charles Barkley, NBA Hall of Famer who is working for TNT covering the NBA’s Eastern Conference Finals. The star of “The Haney Project” series on the GOLF CHANNEL, Barkley is playing in his 13th American Century Championship this year and will test his newly-minted swing against a field that
includes Michael Jordan, Tony Romo, Ray Romano and occasional PGA Champions Tour player Rick Rhoden.

In 2008, the odds on Barkley winning the tournament at the Harrah’s Race and Sports Book were 500-1. (I wonder what they are this year)

Hank Haney, renowned swing coach of Charles Barkley and Tiger Woods, who co-starred in the series
that bears his name and has prepared Barkley to give his best performance in this year’s nationally-televised tournament.

TOURNEY DETAILS
The 54-hole, July 17-19 tournament, televised nationally by NBC (Saturday and Sunday) and ESPN (Friday), features a celebrity field of 75 sports and entertainment stars that also includes Ben Roethlisberger, Jerry Rice, Dale Jarrett, Mario Lemieux, Emmitt Smith, Dan Marino and John Elway plus newcomers Alonzo Mourning, Wade Phillips, Matt Ryan, Shane Battier, Ozzie Smith and more.
